COVID-19 POLICY

Stay safe and enjoy your practice

We are committed to creating a space that is supportive of all of our students and that prioritizes learning, caring, and well-being, while strongly upholding all our requirements around health and safety. We’re reliant on everyone’s compliance to ensure that safety measures are effective so please take a moment to read through our safety protocol below. Together we can keep each other safe

  • Please sanitise your hands before attending class (hand sanitisers located at entry/exit points)
  • We recommend that you arrive already dressed for practice
  • High traffic surfaces will be disinfected regularly
  • We are lucky to have a state of the art heat recovery ventilation system (it is not air conditioning!) which ensures a constant supply of clean, filtered air to the studio. The room temperature may be a little cooler so please wear an extra layer of clothing.
  • Our booking system keeps an accurate record of attendance which facilitates contact tracing, should it be necessary.
  • If you feel unwell, have any symptoms of Covid, a cold, flu or any other communicable illness, or have been in contact with a Covid-19 case, please stay at home and look after yourself. The studio will still be here and ready to welcome you when you are better!

We are looking forward to having you back, in your own time, and welcome any feedback and suggestions.

HOW DO I BOOK?

All classes can be booked via the Little bird app or on the ‘yoga timetable’ section on our website.

If you have booked an in studio class or workshop, please arrive 5/10 min before your class is due to start. We kindly request students to arrive with their yoga gear on and to maintain safe distancing. Please bring your own mats and props. Class attendance is limited to 12 students.

WHAT DO IN NEED?

You will need a yoga mat (and access to the internet for the online sessions).

Wear comfortable clothes that allow you to move freely. If possible, avoid eating before class but make sure you are hydrated.

Yoga is about learning to listen to and respect your body. Please be mindful of your own boundaries and remember, you should never ever feel pain in class.

Are there changing facilities

We do not have showers or changing rooms at the studio, however the wheelchair accessible toilet is more spacious than others and can be used as a changing facility if needed. Due to COVID19 we are asking students to come dressed for class if possible.

Are there shower facilities?
Unfortunately we do not have space for shower facilities.
Where do I leave my personal belongings?
Please leave your shoes, coat and bag in the studio hallway. Bring any valuables into the studio with you.
There are cubby holes at the back of the room. Please remember to turn off mobile phones
Do I need to bring a mat?

Due to COVID19 we are strongly suggesting that students bring their own mats at this time However, if you have forgotten your mat, we do have mats at the studio, which are available to borrow. We ask that students wipe them down after class with our anti-bacterial spray.

What should I wear?
Wear comfortable, light clothing. Bring a warm layer for yoga relaxation, or for yin and restorative classes.
What if I’m late?
For the benefit of other students we ask that you try to arrive on time.
The side door is locked once class begins therefore if you are late the teacher will be obliged to stop the class to open the door.
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY

For studio classes we have a 12 hour cancellation policy. If you cancel before this time, your class credit will be added back to your Mindbody account for future use. If you cancel within 12 hours you will lose your class credit as if you attended.
For courses and workshops we operate a 2 day cancellation policy. If you cancel before this, your credit will be added back to your Mindbody account for future use. If you cancel within 2 days you will lose your credit as if you attended. For online classes the cancellation policy is 2hrs

How big are the classes?

Attendance for in-studio classes is limited to 12 students to ensure adequate spacing between mats and that each student receives individual attention from the teacher.

Is there an age limit?
Yes, you must be 16 to attend an adult yoga class.
I’m pregnant, can I attend regular classes?
Yes you can if:*
You are into your second trimester,
Your GP has given you the go ahead,
You have practiced yoga before.
Remember to always inform your teacher that you are pregnant before class.
Class Pass Extensions
Almost all of our class passes are valid for a month, with the larger passes priced more competitively. They are designed to encourage the more regular student but not to punish you for missing classes. If you have been ill, or injured, please email us and we will extend your pass.
I purchased a pass, signed up to one class and cannot sign into anymore?
Our class passes activate from the first class booked e.g. Feb 1st. If you then try to book a class previous to this date e.g Jan 30th, the system won’t allow it as your pass is valid from the first class booked. To fix this issue simply go ‘my schedule’ on your account, and early cancel your initial booking. You can then start again.
